NASCAR on TNT

I'm no racing fan by any means, but I catch a few laps now and then. Trying to watch a little of the race tonight on TNT, but it seems like one big advertisement. Every few minutes, the announcers will bring up some product and BOOM...up pops a screen in the lower right with a commercial while the race is going on. I hope all of sports isn't going to start following this trend.

Addendum to my last post....since they've come back from a commercial break, they've already ran two more of those "mini-commercials." Sorry TNT...if you're that low to have to push products in such a tacky manner, I'll just change the channel.

I think it is better than true commercial breaks. At least you can still watch the race.

I'm a Tony Stewart fan but man, I'm loving watching Kyle Bush race this year. I'm really becoming a Lil Bush fan.

the TNT coverage is called "wide-open" for this race only. it's designed to show most of the race with limited commercials. i'm with starbuck here. i like it better than regular commercial breaks.

He really is a great talent and fun to watch. He doesnt race just to be most popular or please the fans, he races to win at any costs and thats how it should be. Hes slowly gaining more fans.

Nascar is brands shoved down your throat. IF your gonna watch Nascar your not getting away from advertiements. Id rather watch tamoto seeds germinate.

There once was a man who drove a black car exactly like that...I do respect Kyles talent and drive to win, but, he will be the first one crying if somebody even touches him...I loved it a few weeks ago, when on friday night he was in Steve Wallace's face for wrecking him, then the next night he say "that's racin" when he wrecked Jr for the win...Come on man which way do you want it??? Even his own brother hates him...

that is EVERY driver in the Garage, Even Dale Sr. had it both ways now and again

I like the fact that they didn't go to commercial unless there was a caution. How many times have you watched a race and they go to commercial during a green flag run, only to see that when they come back from commercial there has been a crash. For the die hard fan, the pop up commercials are a dream. I think TNT is onto something.
